Hello everyone, so sorry it has been a while since I wrote last,trust you have been doing well? I am so excited to write today’s post and I’m sure you will be blessed today.

Today we will be looking at the topic:

Engaging God’s word for desired results.

Let’s start by defining the key words here:
What is engaging?
What does it mean to engage something?
Engage means fully occupied or having your full attention…if you’re busy or involved with something,you’re engaged in it.It takes a certain commitment to be engaged with something or someone. That’s why engaged often describes people who have committed to getting married.
I want us to really understand what it means to engage something,it’s not a half done or half baked thing,it definitely requires full commitment

Now,we’re talking about engaging God’s word for desired results. What are desired results?
Another word for desired result is a passionate aspiration or ambition,a dream. For example, as a student your desired result is to get a first class or to get all A’s or maybe for you just to pass right?
For a married woman,her desired result could be to get pregnant, for a single lady,her desired result could be to get married to a rich man before the end of the year or so,for soul winning your desired results could be to get 100 souls saved in 2 months and so on…

So basically we are talking about how to commit yourself to God’s word to get your desires. This topic is so profound because it is something that is quite relatable to me and most of us.We all want our desired results but the question now is are we ready to consistently commit ourselves to God’s words to get what we want? Are we willing and ready?
It’s so sad that in the days we are at now, many people are committing to so many different things and people just to get what they want,actively involved in social media (I’m not saying it’s bad,but excess is wrong right?)just to get what they desire.
We have to get back to doing things God’s way,doing things in the way of God. You might say but there are people in the world, they don’t even know God,they are unbelievers,they don’t love God like you do but they get their desired results. That might be true, but please remember the fact that a way works doesn’t mean it is the right way,it doesn’t mean it’s God’s way;the same way a person doing rituals to make money isn’t right yeah?
We are Christians and we are not of the world,we have to do things as citizens of heaven,because that’s where we belong, praise God!!🙌🏻🙌🏻

So now please follow me as we look at some scriptures…
Starting with John 15:4-5 TPT( The passion translation)

So you must remain in life-union with me, for I remain in life-union with you. For as a branch severed from the vine will not bear fruit, so your life will be fruitless unless you live your life intimately joined to mine. “I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches. As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from me you are powerless.
John 15:4‭-‬5 TPT

We can see here that Jesus is talking about we as His disciples remaining in Him, as we all know, Jesus is the word of God, so when we re-phrase verse 5 we have:
“I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches. As you live in union with the word of God as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from the word of God, you are powerless.
John 15:5 TPT

KJV says Abide in me….
This means to continue to dwell with and in the word of God,it means to wait for, to tarry continually,to wait expectantly.
So I think the question each person should ask his/herself is am I really engaging the word of God to get what I want?
Please try and answer this question within yourself.
Because engaging the word of God means even if I don’t see my desired results yet,I will wait for it,for it will surely come !

Now,we will briefly look at:

How to Engage the word of God for our desired results

I have just three points here which I will quickly go over…

1.Meditate/ study the word of God

And don’t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you’ll get where you’re going; then you’ll succeed.
Joshua 1:8 MSG(message version)

Notice the first point is not read,but rather meditate!
My papa,Pastor E.A Adeboye says:when you read,you skip the surface, but when you study,you discover the treasures
To meditate means to think deeply about continually,to focus on…
Don’t you know that Whatever you keep looking at,becomes strongest in your life?

Son, do what your father tells you and never forget what your mother taught you. Keep their words with you always, locked in your heart. Their teaching will lead you when you travel, protect you at night, and advise you during the day.
Proverbs 6:20‭-‬22 GNT

Please keep the word of God locked up in your heart, if you have to write out scriptures and paste them in your room,kitchen,doors ( like I did in my room)please do, you will need them.

2.Pray the word of God consistently with faith.

I believe prayer and faith goes hand in hand to an extent,so I’ll combine them here.

ALSO [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up).
Luke 18:1 AMPC

I tell you, He will defend and protect and avenge them speedily. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find [persistence in] faith on the earth?
Luke 18:8 AMPC
This is a question Jesus is asking at the end of this parable which I am sure we are familiar with,if you aren’t please go back and read through it…
There is a kind of persistent faith that brings about our desired results, that’s another topic on it’s own,but please keep praying the word of God,Don’t get tired, don’t loose hope.

3. Speak the word of God.

Please understand that words of Faith guarantees God results, there is a place of prayer and there is a place of speaking out what you pray for. Remember you can never go wrong by speaking God’s word.

A word fitly spoken and in due season is like apples of gold in settings of silver
Proverbs 25:11 AMPC

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].
Proverbs 18:21 AMPC

Conclusion.

So I’ll like to end this post with a personal testimony that happened in my life.
When I was quite younger, I used to have terrible thoughts of people that led me to have terrible and evil dreams of death and worse, they were so bad and they made me constantly worry and fear was dominant in my life until I learnt about the word of God.
You know Bro Kenneth Hagin says, you can’t stop a bird from flying through your head but you can stop it from building a nest on your head.
So I took that word and started confessing the word of God,when those thoughts came,I would quote scriptures like:I won’t die but live to declare the works of the Lord, the number of my days I will fulfill, no weapon formed against me prospers,I have not been given a spirit of fear but of power,love and a sound mind …
Believe you me,it wasn’t easy,it was war, it didn’t take 1 month nor 2 months ,it took a longer time but trust me for over ten years I have been free from negative thoughts and bad dreams,it doesn’t mean I don’t have wrong thoughts once in a while,I do but immediately they come,I fire back with the word of God and they never dwell in my heart!!

Just like me,you too can have your desired results through the word of God by using these 3 steps, become so soaked with the word of God ,that when you are pressed what comes out of you is the word of God.
