GO IN THIS THY MIGHT

It is with great pleasure and great Joy that I welcome you into the year 2023. God has been so good, so faithful,Glory to God. Indeed the Lord has been on our side.I encourage us to spend ample time appreciating God for His goodness in the past year.

Will be writing about the topic- Go in this thy might. Let’s look at what the scripture says in Judges

“And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee? Judges 6:14 (KJV)

We can see from the scripture above that Gideon was scared, he was afraid and yet God told him to go in this his might, because he had sent him. Sometimes it seems as though God can say some contradictory things at some phases in our lives. You might be in dire need of something say money for example and God says:o ye rich man, go give to the poor. It’s amazing and isn’t that why the scriptures say that God calls things that are not as if they were?

The book of Judges continues with Gideon giving all the reasons in the world why he can’t deliver Israel, his family being the poorest and him being the least in his father’s house but the angel of God gave just one response and said the Lord will be with you and so you shall be able to deliver Israel.

I want us to hold that last sentence closely, the angel did not even try to refute all that Gideon had said because yes, they might have been true but that wasn’t what God wanted to dwell on.God dwells on the fact that He has sent you, He has called you, He has chosen you and He is with you and because of that,you will do well!! The same man who was afraid was able to lead an army, pause and think about that. What changed? The word of God he had received in his heart, the word of God he was so sure about settled in his heart and gave him the courage he needed for the journey.

I feel this so strongly in my Spirit and I want us to run with this all throughout the year 2023. Whatever it is you want to achieve, whatever it is you want to do, yes, even though to the human eyes it doesn’t look feasible, don’t stay on that, don’t act based on that, take actions based on what the word of God has said concerning you, concerning that situation, know this, that the Lord is with you and it will go well, you will do amazing and your tomorrow shall be alright.

God will wrought glorious things through you this year, you will do mind blowing things and do exploits just because you know the Lord is with you, you will accomplish what seems impossible to man because of The Holyspirit in you!

Do you remember when Jesus asked Peter to come to Him on the sea in Matthew chapter 14? The Bible declares that Peter walked on water. Peter, a mortal man walked on water! What changed too? Jesus told Peter: come! That’s what changed, a word from God. He said so , that’s all that mattered, that’s all that was needed. God said it and He believed it and yes he walked on water !!Do you realise that you too can do the impossible? I have come to challenge you to arise from your comfort zone and go in this thy might. The world out there is waiting for you. You have been empowered. Now is the time to go out and shine. The days of chickening out are over in your life. Go, shine as light and take your world by storm, for your light has come and the glory of God has risen upon you.

You will not be put to shame. Where you have hitherto failed, you will succeed. I want you to rise with a knowing that the world out there will bow to you. Your expectation will not be denied. You will not labour in vain.The Lord will open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing upon you. He will give you beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. The Lord of Hosts has promised and His word will come through for you this year. Amen!

CREATED FOR FRUITFULNESS

It is s true that fruitfulness begins with God in the book of Genesis. Genesis tells us the story of creation, how God created land with the capacity to produce plants and trees which bear fruit, He also blessed animals to be fruitful and multiply, and calls on human beings created in His image to ‘be fruitful and increase in number’ (Genesis 1:26-28). God clearly gave us a mandate, Be ye fruitful and multiply. No creature of God is expected to be unfruitful and I’m not merely writing about getting married and having children, of course, that too has it’s place but I am referring to being fruitful in every good work.

Psalm 1:1-3 talks about the righteous that meditates on the scriptures and do what the scriptures say, they end up being fruitful- they bring forth its fruit in their season and prosper in all they do. It’s giving the all round prosperity assurance, it’s giving the winning of souls, giving to the needy, helping people out, loving on people – that’s the kind of fruitfulness God is talking about.

John 15:5 says: “I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches. As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from me you are powerless.”
‭‭ This scripture makes us understand that Jesus is our only source and it’s only in Him we can live a fruitful life. Any life lived outside of Jesus is unfruitful, it’s that simple and clear. When you live in Union with Jesus, when you acknowledge Him as your source for everything in life, you automatically become fruitful, you automatically show that you are a child of God, you consciously do things in a way that shows people that you know God. Same John 15:8 says that when our lives produces abundant fruit, we demonstrate that we are mature disciples and bring glory to God. That’s what a Christian life should look like- a fruitful life in Christ.

Fruitfulness starts from the heart with the fruit of the Spirit ( Galatians 5:22-23). The Bible is clear in Matthew 7:16-20 :“You can spot them by their actions, for the fruits of their character will be obvious. You won’t find sweet grapes hanging on a thorn bush, and you’ll never pick good fruit from a tumbleweed. So if the tree is good, it will produce good fruit; but if the tree is bad, it will bear only rotten fruit and deserves to be cut down and burned.” Your character will show whether you are fruitful or not. Your daily actions will show whether you are bringing glory to God or not. What you do and what you say, every single day of your life, will show the fruits you are manifesting.When we have committed ourselves to Christ and live to please Him, the natural result is behavioral choices that look like His. He was clear that true followers of Christ will be recognizable by their fruit.

“that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.

Above is a prayer that Paul prayed for believers in Colosse and I urge us to also pray this prayer for ourselves and the Church at Large.

Remember, being fruitful is not an option, it is a commandment, it is a Language we are supposed to speak, and it is an obligation we must fulfill in Christ.

THE REWARDER

Hello everyone,

We’ll be talking about the topic the rewarder today. I want us to understand that God is the rewarder.The Bible says in the book of Hebrews 11:6-

“But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭6‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Reward is sweet and it’s a good thing. Most times when we individuals do certain things, we expect to get something in return for doing what we do I think the greatest reward I’ve gotten so far was getting my MBBS Certificate after finishing medical school. I vividly remember how elated I felt years ago when I saw and handled my certificate in my hands. I totally forgot all the sleepless nights and efforts it had taken me to finish medical school. I believe that’s how it is for everyone too. When you achieve certain things and are awarded for those things, a sense of fulfilment fills your heart.

But do you also know that God rewards?

In fact, For us to believe in God and obey His words, we have to understand that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him, of those who diligently obey His words and Love on Him. God rewards, He sure does.

Life will somehow become uninteresting without the concept of reward. Many will lack the motivation or enthusiasm to aspire and do great things without it. That is why in every facet of life, there is usually a reward for high achievers.

At times, reward could be a word of commendation, a certificate given, a gift, a price sum, a set record, an honour bestowed, etc. Whatever it is, it is to say well done to the fellow, encourage them to do more, and challenge others to emulate them.

Interestingly, God started the concept/doctrine of reward and it will end with Him.

God also told Abram in the book of Genesis

“After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭15‬:‭1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God promised Abram Himself as a reward! That is huge! There is no other reward in earth greater than God Himself. God promised Himself to Abram. I want us to pause for a minute and think about that. When God is your reward you would not lack anything because He will give you everything that He entails. He would go the extra mile for you and would not make you beg for bread.

Have you been rendered disadvantaged? God will be your exceeding great reward.God will not let you suffer.

I want to encourage us today even as we enter the second month of the year 2023, there could be things you do for God, for His people that no one knows about, that no one talks about and it seems like nothing good is happening in your life, I have good news for you- God Himself will be your reward! Don’t give up – God said it and He will do it. He will reward you. He will not make your labour be In vain.

As we continue in this year , I want us to remember vividly the two passages mentioned above. As you pray, as you fast, as you meditate on the scriptures, as you go to Church, as you give your thites and offerings, as you help people around you remember that even if no one acknowledges you, God does every single second and He will reward you, yes even for seeking Him, he will reward you. Never forget that. So everything you do, do it as unto the Lord because He Himself will reward you.

Double Portion

I am so excited to welcome everyone into the final month of the year 2022. It has been a long one and we cannot deny the fact that God has been good to us. Even as we draw to the close of the year, I want us to look at this theme.

December will be a month of double portion for us. Amen! In So many places in the scriptures we see God talk about giving more than what we can ask for, this means that God is always ready to give to us more than what we even want.

“Give generously and generous gifts will be given back to you, shaken down to make room for more. Abundant gifts will pour out upon you with such an overflowing measure that it will run over the top!
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6‬:‭38a‬ ‭TPT‬‬
The above scripture even makes us understand that God will give us overflowing measures when we give, He does not manage His things, He is a God of abundance, a God who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you ask, think or imagine,He is always more than ready to give us a double portion whenever we ask Him for anything, that’s the kind of God we serve.

“And the Lord turned the captivity of Job and restored his fortunes, when he prayed for his friends; also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. [Deut. 30:1-3; Ps. 126:1, 2.]”
‭‭Job‬ ‭42‬:‭10‬ ‭AMPC‬‬
From the story of Job in the Bible, we can see that the Lord gave Job a double portion of what he had before, he gave him twice as much without even asking. I’m trying to make us understand at least to an extent the generosity of God. Our God is a generous God, He is not stingy, He loves to give even to the extent of giving His only begotten son. That’s how much of a giver our God is .

Now, what God is saying to us is this

“Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61‬:‭7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Whatever it is you might have been asking God for, whatever it is you might have been thinking about or imagining according to His perfect will for you, God will give you in double folds. He won’t just answer your prayers but He will supersede what you have been asking Him for, He will do exceeding abundantly much more for you in Jesus name. For every tears you might have cried, for every shame and pain you might have gone through in the previous months of this year, God will answer your desperate requests in an overflowing measure this month and beyond in Jesus name.

There is also a mystery of prayer I want us to be reminded about;The mystery of asking. When you do not relent in your prayers and keep on asking, God will give unto you the desires of your heart. He is a faithful God and He is more ready to answer your requests than you are even willing to ask for them.

“Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened. Or what man is there of you, if his son asks him for a loaf of bread, will hand him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will hand him a serpent? If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father Who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give good and advantageous things to those who keep on asking Him!”

Welcome to your month of double portion!

THE RESTORER

Hello everyone,it’s been a while we shared something here,but I’m elated to be able to write about what God has been laying on my heart this month.

I’m very certain that each and every one of us have one time or the other heard that God is a restorer. We maybe have this idea that God restores only things we have lost, but I have good news for you, God also restores even those things you didn’t know that you have lost.

And I will restore or replace for you the years that the locust has eaten–the hopping locust, the stripping locust, and the crawling locust, My great army which I sent among you.
Joel 2:25 AMPC

God is well able to compress time for your sake and take you back to where you are supposed to be right now. God is able to overlook your mistakes and take you to the initial purpose meant for your life. You may have belittled yourself and don’t even know how to believe God again, God is able to make you believe Him again and see yourself as He sees you. God is able to restore lost opportunities, lost relationships,lost friendships, He restores to their origin intention.

From the scriptures in Joel 2 :25, no matter what was lost or taken from you, even if you lost is by your negligence or mistake no matter who took it away, trust in the ability of God to bring them back to you like you never lost them in the first place. That’s how powerful the restorative power of God is.

Scriptures say in Isaiah 61:7

Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.

This implies that God specialises in the ability to restore more than what you lost. It is called DOUBLE PORTION RESTORATION.The scriptures says that God gave Job twice as much as he had before. I really don’t know what you have lost, what the devil has stolen from you, but I really do know that God is well able able to restore them back in two folds to you and He will do that in Jesus name,just believe His words.

I’ll leave us with this scripture –

2 Corinthians 13:11 says  Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

Remember, Strive for full restoration for God is a faithful restorer.

May November Favour Us all in Jesus name.

The Power of Persistence

Hi everyone,today we’ll be talking about the power of persistence. First,what is persistence?

Persistence is the fact or act of continuing in an opinion or course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition. Truth is,sometimes when you are trying to persist to get something from someone it can get really annoying and the person may give what it is you are asking for just to make you go away and stop disturbing.

So what does the scripture say about persistence? Let’s take a look…

The book of Luke chapter 18 gives the story of a woman who constantly went to a judge to grant her justice, the Judge decided to grant her justice not because he is a good person but just because he wanted to “get off her back”*that’s how the passion translation puts it ) he would answer her so she could leave him alone.

God will give swift justice to those who don’t give up. So be ever praying, ever expecting, just like the widow was with the judge. Yet when the Son of Man comes back, will he find this kind of persistent faithfulness in his people?”
Luke 18:8 TPT

A lot of people pray,really they do, but there is a kind of prayer called persistent prayer in which you keep praying until you see answers. Some people call it PUSH(pray until something happens). You don’t stop praying,you keep on praying, you don’t give up on prayers until you see what you desire manifest physically.

I know sometimes one may say that once you pray once,God has heard you and you don’t need to keep on repeating the same thing,even though that may be true, persisting in prayers doesn’t just mean repeating the same words, no, it goes beyond that; it is expecting to see answers to your prayers manifest and not giving up,until you see them happen. I truly believe there is a place of persistence in prayers.

Let’s look at Matthew 7:7 TPT

For every persistent one will get what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he longs for. And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door.

Persisting in prayers is not begging God to do something for us,it is rather believing that as believers the scriptures are true, God is good and therefore He will answer us if we do not give up. I want to quickly clarify something here, I’m not talking about persisting in praying for something outside of God’s will. What we’re talking about here is praying persistently in accordance to God’s will for a particular thing to happen. For example, let’s be practical here, perhaps a couple has been believing God for the fruit of the womb for several years,( it is definitely God’s will for every child of God to be fruitful and replenish the earth(Genesis 9:7), we have a scripture to show that this is what God is saying to us, this is God’s perfect will, )the couple should CONTINUE/PERSEVERE in prayers until they get pregnant and have a baby. This is what persistence in prayers is all about.

Persisting in prayers means not giving up, it is having Faith which is your evidence and continuing proclaiming the word of God concerning that situation until you see it happen. Often times, you will know in your heart that God has answered a prayer, you will often have peace concerning that thing and at that moment even if you have not seen the answers with your physical eyes, you can begin praising God and pray concerning something else as God will lead you, it’s called a NOTE OF VICTORY in your Spirit. So in a nutshell, keep praying for that thing until you receive a note of victory in your Spirit man, that it is done, then switch to Praise!

I just want to encourage you reading this post, I’m certain this is not the first time you have heard about this, but Please do something about what you have learnt here today; and the next time you feel weary and want to give up on trusting God and praying for a particular thing, remember God is looking at your heart to see if you will persist or if you will easily faint.

Don’t give up beloved, keep praying, keep believing God, keep meditating on the scriptures , keep obeying God, keep doing good, because AT THE PROPER TIME YOU WILL REAP A HARVEST IF YOU DO NOT GIVE UP.

HEALTH & SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Hii Everyone!🤗🌻
Its been awhile, I hope you all are doing Great by God’s Grace.
Today we will talk about the relationship between our Health and our Spiritual Growth.
We will take a look at how being healthy in all 3 aspects of our life- our spirit, soul and body are all extremely vital for our Spiritual Growth.

Three portals how the Spirit of God can communicate with our spirit are;

  1. The Portal of our Spirit
  2. The Portal of our Soul
  3. The Portal of our Body

All 3 portals of our lives must be opened to His Spirit inorder for us to receive Divine Revelations. For all 3 portals to be open to God’s Spirit we must be healthy in all 3 aspects of our lives. Divine Health is a Key that opens these portals to be used by God to Reveal Himself to our spirit being.

1. The Portal of our Spirit

For this portal to be opened to God’s Spirit and receive divine directions from God, the spirit must be healthy. To ensure our spirit is healthy we must be consistent in our prayer life, reading of God’s Word, worshiping and praising God and commited to meeting together with other Brethren in christian fellowships / gatherings. When we do this, our spirit man is strengthen and is always tuned to hear God’s Voice. That is why the enemy tries its best to attack the prayer life and reading of God’s Word and stops the people from meeting together. Be Watchful and Pray at all Times!

Declare with me : I will not be a victim to the stratergies of the enemy. I will Pray and Read my Bible Consistently. I will Praise God Consistently and I will meet up with Brethren Consistently in Lord Jesus Name, Amen.

2. The Portal of our Soul

I hope you are excited to learn more! These revelations will catapult you to greatness!
Okay, lets continue…
For this Portal to be opened to God’s Spirit, we must ensure our Soul is Healthy!!
Many times we see alot of believers who love God and are commited to follow Him but because the devil is attacking them EMOTIONALLY, they are NOT able to receive revelations and directions from God. So, we MUST GUARD our Hearts from evil and feed our souls by MEDITATING on the Life- Giving Word of God.

Guarding your Heart is Extremely important!! Run away from everything that is not edifying you! Surround yourself with the right people. Don’t listen to negativities.
When you do this, you will be able to hear God clearly. Remember a troubled heart can’t hear God clearly. Run away from stress and enter God’s Rest!

Declare with me: I will Guard my Heart and Feed it with the Word of God CONSISTENTLY in Lord Jesus Name, Amen.

3. The Portal of our Body

A Healthy Body is VERY IMPORTANT for Hearing God clearly!!!
People of God, be very attentive! There are many believers who are commited to God and love Jesus but struggle alot from hearing God’s voice, because their body is unwell!!! Their body is unwell because most of the times they don’t eat healthy food, don’t exercise, don’t sleep well and don’t speak life words over their body. This gives access to the enemy to fire arrows of illness.

Remember your body is the TEMPLE OF GOD.
Don’t let the devil make you guilty for taking time in the day to take care of your body. When you do this your body will be healthy and you will hear God more frequently!

Declare with me : I will invest time and effort to take care of my Body in Lord Jesus Name.

23 things I have learnt in 23 years

Hello everyone 👋

So I’ll be 23 years in a few days yippee💃💃 and I thought to bring out a post about 23 things I’ve learnt in 23 years of living 😁 I really don’t know how this post is going to turn out but I’m really going to try and be as open and practical as possible,so join me and let’s delve into this together:

1. Man at His best cannot direct his ways 😤,you need God!!

2. You need someone that has gone far in this life to also show you the right path…you need fathers and mentors,it makes everything easier and prevents a lots of errors. Look for them!

3. Your parents have gone ahead of you,listen to them especially if they are believers,they know better and want the best for you.

4. You need godly friends and associations,you were not created to live this life on your own,have godly associations with similar opinions as you.

5. In the multitude of counsel,there is safety. Before you make decisions ,try and talk to a couple of trusted people, it will keep you safe.

6. You don’t need to rush about anything, take your time and know what God is saying concerning every situation.

7. Consistency is key 🔑 Living a life of consistency brings results, try it out☺

8. Always be thankful. It is very important to live a life of gratitude, great things happen to those that are grateful and appreciative in life and I’ve seen this to be true 👍

9. Don’t murmur,avoid grumbling,don’t complain. If at all you are still going to end up helping out,why complain then in the first place 🤷‍♀️,it doesn’t change anything and God hates it!

10. Be intentional,do things on purpose, be deliberate,don’t just do anything you feel like doing ,don’t just live your life how you feel like living, even God was intentional in creating you,life your life on purpose!

11. Never stop learning. Heard of the quote:the day you stop learning you strat dying? It’s true, as far as you are living ,you owe this to yourself and the people around you. Learn something daily no matter how small it is,learn from people,learn from events and happenings you face everyday.

12.Always be Joyful…rejoice forevermore, ever wondered why even when Paul was in prison, his letter to the church in phillipians was rejoice always, it’s because your Joy is not based on what is happening around you,it is based on the fact that God loves you no matter what you are facing ,so always keep that smile on your face,you deserve it!

13. You are responsible for you, no one else is. You see that dress you want to wear, wear it,the post you want to post,post it ,the food you want to eat,eat it;as far as you do not sin,do it anyways.

14. Life is short,Always be kind to people,you never can tell who you are helping and how the kindness you show today can come back to you in multiple folds tomorrow.

15. First impression do matters, be friendly🤗 so true!!

16. Be bold,be courageous, it will make people even trust you more.

17. Be respectul,be courteous, it will make people like you more and you never can tell who is watching you.

18. Dare to believe, be positive. Always try to surround yourself with positive people even in negative circumstances, be an optimistic person, learn to trust God,be a faith filled person, it will take you far in life.

19. Be faithful even in the little things. No matter how little you think you are or you think you have, if you want God to take you far ,you really need this one, be faithful where you are at.

20. Be a family person, have time for your family, create time ,always be there for them, you were put in that family for a reason and they are the ones who will love you at all times no matter what you face or what you do,so treasure them.

21. Learn to tolerate people, nothing lasts for ever not even people.

22. Be a student of the word, I really tell you this ,it is how much of the word of God that you have in you that will take you far in life irrespective of what you face ,know the word for yourself,study the scriptures for yourself, it will save you a lot of stress.

23. Be prayerful! This is the last one I’m writing but definitely the most important, because I have come to understand that life is spiritual,nothing just happens,whatever happens to you has been decided already in the realm of the spirit, so learn to change things through prayers.

Above all,you need the person of the Holyspirit to guide you through this life,talk to Him,He listens and is ever ready to help you navigate the storms of life.

THE ONE I LOVE

Yeyy💃💃💃 It’s the last day in year 2020! God has been so faithful, so many ups and down but permit me to say this has been my best year ever. In this year I graduated from medical school after 6 years, passed my country’s license exam all in this same year that was rampant with COVID-19 and so many lockdown, but God did this one for me. I’m sure you too have something to be grateful for,why don’t you take the next one minute and say thank you Jesus 🙌🏻 The one we love has done this for us ,the fact that we have seen the last day of year 2020 is a testimony in itself. Glory to God!! Remember to be grateful throughout year 2021 to God and to the people God will bring your way.

So Any new year resolutions yet?This is that time of the year when many people start writing new year resolutions,having do’s and don’ts for the new year, I’m really not against it ,I guess it works for many people but I just want to talk to us about something we can rather commit ourselves to do in this new year which I’m certain will help us in every area of our lives. I’m talking about intentionally loving God in this year.

Ever wondered why the scriptures say in John 14:15 that:

“Loving me empowers you to obey my commands”.

Love empowers

It is as though the reason why as believers there is a struggle to keep the commandments of God is because we do not love God enough. I know most people would argue about that and beat their chest to say its untrue,but as we see from the scriptures when we love God we are empowered to automatically obey His commands.

We have been called into a love relationship with a love God, for God is Love and Love is God,

Christianity is a way of life, I so much believe that when we truly come into realization of the depth of God’s love, we will truly accept His love and choose on our own to stay with God. When we are hungry and passionate about God, you will always remember to do His will for you.

A song writer once sang about the reckless love of God, part of the song goes thus:There’s no shadow you won’t light up,
Mountain you won’t climb up,
Coming after me There’s no wall you won’t kick down
No lie you won’t tear down
Coming after me

This is just a glimpse of the description of the love God has for us, when a person loves you this deep, it is just normal to love back. God loves you and I, there is no doubt about that but do you love God as well? Have you responded to the love God has for you, how did you respond, are you still responding even today, in the way you live, the way you talk, in your school, in your workplace?

Another song says:

The one I love is ever before me,He’s seal’s up my heart, I live for the one I love.

Who do you live for ? Remember we have been bought with a price, the blood of Jesus and we are to honour God even in the way we live.

I believe when we truly love God and have the assurance that God loves us even much more, we will be able to sail over whatever difficulties that we might face. Rest in God’s love, respond to God’s love.

Love compels us,Love births hunger,hunger sustains the move of God in a generation.

We need to be sustained in this new year, we need to be sustained mostly in our spiritual walk with God. I believe discernment and perception are two necessary factors we need to fly and move forward in this year and beyond and the very foundation of all this is “LOVE”. You cannot go to where God has called you to if you do not Love.

The compelling power of Love,ever heard of that before? Love is a driving force, Love is powerful, Love will drive you , channel your love towards God, it will make you go all out for Him.Love for God will make you meditate on scriptures, it will make you spend time in prayers, it will make you praise and worship God like never before.

Love for God will make us not to continue in sin. Quite importantly, let’s make sure we avoid sin in this year and beyond,Love for God will help us achieve this. When a man has something to hide,he is slow in speech; when a man has nothing to hide,his voice is loud, when a man is not doing the assignment God has given him to do, it is because he has something to hide. You cannot preach on consecration if you are not separated unto God.

Let us not forget throughout this year the scriptures in Daniel 1:8 and in Job 31:1; as Daniel purposed in his heart not to sin and even as Job also made a covenant with his eyes so he would not sin, Let us also purpose in our hearts not to disobey the commandments of God and remember its YOUR LOVE FOR GOD that will empower you to Live for God in this year and beyond.

DON’T FORGET TO REMEMBER.

Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands— that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
Ephesians 2:11‭-‬12 NKJV

Most times,as believers we tend to forget how good God has been to us,we often forget all He has done for us and the numerous things He has saved us from. It’s kind of human nature to naturally forget the good one has done if the same person who did the good later does something we regard as wrong or maybe the person does not come to our aid again when another issue arises,but this is so wrong.

When God tells us to remember, it is not a suggestion, it is rather a command.

Let’s not be quick to forget,verse 13 goes further to tell us that:

Yet look at you now! Everything is new! Although you were once distant and far away from God, now you have been brought delightfully close to him through the sacred blood of Jesus—you have actually been united to Christ!
Ephesians 2:13 TPT

Do not forget,we were bought with a price,the blood of Jesus washed us clean and saved us from every of our sins,the blood of Jesus brought us close to God,the blood of Jesus made us to become joint-heirs with Christ(Rom.8:17), the blood of Jesus was the price that was paid for our freedom and our sonship. This in fact is the basis of our salvation. Glory to God!!

Another instance in the bible that we can find God saying the people should remember is found in Deuteronomy 5 verse 15

And remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm; therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.
Deuteronomy 5:15 NKJV

Other scriptures are also found in Deuteronomy 8:2-18, Exodus 16:31-36. The Lord told the children of Israel to even remember some feasts like the passover feast and the feast of unleavened bread which is still remembered till today (Exodus 12:1-20)

It is not surprising that God often told the children of Israel to remember how He delivered them from Egypt, but it’s sad that they didn’t listen to Him,little wonder they always complained and majority didn’t make it to the promised land. They literally complained in all these scriptures and more: Exodus 5:1-22,Exodus 14:11-12,Exodus 15:22,Exodus 16:1-4 ,Exodus 17:1-4,Exodus 32:28,Numbers 12:1-12,Numbers 14:1-10,Numbers 16:41,Numbers 20:1-5.

When we forget to remember, we often complain and become ungrateful and it hinders us and others from being all who God has called us to be.

Because the Israelites forgot to remember how God delivered them from Egypt, they were always dissatisfied with their current situations, they never saw any good about their lives, they always complained and even Moses could not make it to the promised land,all because of this.

Please no matter what you are facing now,even if you feel God has not been good to you, please remember the fact that you are alive to read this,it means God still loves you and there is hope for you,remember:

There is hope for those who are still alive—it does not matter who they are. But this saying is true: A living dog is better than a dead lion.
Ecclesiastes 9:4 ERV

Is this not why even till date,we observe different feasts like Chrismas,Easter and the Holy communion as we were told to do in the scriptures :

and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
I Corinthians 11:24‭-‬25 NKJV

Even Jesus knew we could often forget things we should ALWAYS REMEMBER.

My prayer for us today is that, oh!may we never forget ro remember how good God has been to us.
